FFF Open - Winter league week 2 - 29th October

A big well done to Pete Conlon on winning the latest round of the winter league held on Big Beam.
As autumn progresses its getting more difficult to predict where the fish are holding up and lucky for Pete it was on peg 19, where he landed a very respectable 52lb 15oz. Pete fished the soft pellet on the pole to land decent carp throughout the duration of the match.
In second place fishing from peg 8 was Malc Swindels with 34lb 11oz of quality carp, skimmers and F1's. Malc also pole fished the soft pellet to take fish from the inside margins and the far bank, taking the majority of his fish later on in the match.
Third place was taken by Ken Power fishing from peg 12. Ken weighed in with 29lb 2oz of carp, F1's along with the odd goldfish taken on the pole fishing corn and pellet.
Fourth place was taken by Darryl Smith with 25lb 11oz from peg 43 followed by Dabba Booth in fifth with 21lb 4oz from peg 14.
With no one really running away with the league after two rounds, things are still wide open, so don't worry if you miss a week or two, its all to play for !!
Our next open match will be held this coming Thursday and will either be held on Far Hope or Big Beam, we will decide on the day, so see you there !!
