FFF Open - 10th December -"Fur & Feather" 2016.

A fantastic turnout brought a bit of Christmas cheer to a miserable, dark and damp day for our annual 'Fur and Feather Turkey match' held on Big Beam.
A huge well done to Fields Farm newbie, Sean Lawler on taking the spoils with an excellent weight of 43lb 12oz from peg number 4. Sean fished 7/8 red maggots on a band using the straight lead on the tip to catch quality carp to take the match, the cash and the 'Fields Farm Fresh Christmas Turkey'. (still available to order !!)
In second place fishing from peg 40 was Darryl Smith with 22lb 13oz. Darryl fished the pellet on the pole to catch F1's and crucians. This was enough to give Darryl the Winter League 2016 title.
In a very close third place with 21lb 15oz fishing from peg 29 was Pete Conlon. Pete caught carp on both the tip and the pole alternating between pellet and meat.
Fourth place was taken by Les Jones with 20lb 6oz from peg 17 followed by Gaz Birks in fifth with 19lb 9oz from peg 50.
